Summary
Daniela Filipovic was born in Escondido, California, and began playing competitive soccer at six. At ten, she joined the So Cal Blues Soccer Club and became a full-time starter on the first team. While playing for the Blues, Cal South ODP identified Daniela as an elite player at the reginoal level. Her 98' Blues team, won the Coast Soccer League Championship twice, and in 2010, Daniela and her teammates brought home the Cal South State Cup Champion trophy. After her time with the Blues, Daniela continued playing soccer with the San Diego Surf Soccer Club. She was a full-time starter on the first team, and her 98' Surf team was ranked #3 in the nation. They were 2013 U14 ECNL CL National Semi-Finalist, and won the ECNL So Cal Championship three times. After her youth club career, Daniela committed to playing college soccer at San Diego State University, where she played D1 Soccer for four years. She finished her collegiate career at Concordia University in Irvine, California, where she played for the Golden Eagles for one year. Daniela started her coaching career at Laguna Hills High School and Concordia University. She is currently coaching for the Pateadores Soccer Club and the 949 Futsal Club in Irvine, California.
